Buying habits with smaller and cheaper electronic gadgets appearing including the first CD player seems to be really remarkable for 1982. Despite the fact that Argentina and the UK go to war over a small island thousands of miles away, this year Italy wins the football Worldcup and Jean-Loup Chretien is the first French man in Space (I’m not french). 

Something quite remarkable this year was the use of Smiley or emoticon as a way of expression emotion in an email , the person responsible for that was Scott Fahlman from Carnegie Mellon University Carnegie Mellon. No less important than technology, in 1992 critics give ET the Extra-Terrestrial a score of 3.9289 out of 4 starts, a true blockbuster and a pop culture phenomenon in its time.

Written at the request of Sylvester Stallone “Rocky III”, Eye Of The Tiger was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for six weeks beginning July 24, 1982. Currently Survivor continues to play regular concerts in North America, and Europe and It’s back into the studio to record new material this year. Do not blame me about the video quality, It’s classic.

An American rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and actress best known as Joan Jett recorded in 1981 “I Love Rock ‘n Roll”, song written in 1975 by Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker of The Arrows, was number one on the Billboard charts from March 20 to May 1, 1982. This the third of the top 100 hits of 1982.
